3 Ways to Read Your Reef
01. Measure what matters.
Record the important parameters consistently but resist the urge to chase every decimal point. Reef tanks appreciate attention; they do not always appreciate enthusiasm.
02. Compare the trend.
A single reading is only a snapshot. Compare it with your tank’s recent history to see whether something is actually changing—or whether your reef is simply having an ordinary Tuesday.
03. Adjust slowly.
When action is needed, make one deliberate change at a time. Slow adjustments make it easier to understand what worked and help protect the stability of the entire reef.
